Supreme Graphics wins graphics excellence award

Supreme Graphics of Arcadia was announced recently as an award winner in the Great Lakes Graphics Association Graphics Excellence Awards competition.

Supreme Graphics won (1) Best of Division (4) Awards of Excellence and (8) Certificate of Merit awards. The awards were given in the categories of specialty coatings, booklets, calendars, product catalogs, newsletters, brochures, annual reports, and folders.

“We are so proud of our winning team,” said Chris Blaschko, VP Business Development. “It’s an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that produces top quality, award winning print materials.”

The judging was conducted on March 10-11, 2020, by a team of independent judges. The GEA competition is one of the largest printing competitions in the nation. A panel of out-of-state judges with extensive experience in printing and print production was brought in to examine the work.

Each entry was judged on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. The judging criteria included registration, crossovers, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, finishing, bindery and overall visual impact.
