Man dies in Glencoe motorcycle crash

A Rochester, Minn. man lost his life as the result of a motorcycle accident in the town of Glencoe on Sunday.

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department reported Sharmarke Shoble, 24, lost control of his 2011 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle while negotiating a curve going up the hill heading west on Highway 95, near Ziegeweid Valley Road. The crash was reported to the sheriff’s department at approximately 1:24 p.m. Sunday.

Sharmarke was flown to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse for life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to those injuries. 

Police officials said speed was a factor in the crash, but the incident remains under investigation. 

Assisting the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department at the scene was the Arcadia Ambulance Service, Arcadia Fire Department, Waumandee First Responders, Arcadia Police Department and Medlink Air Ambulance.
