Man injured in UTV crash

Robert Hinrichs, 58, of Osseo was yelling for help after being trapped under a Utility-Terrain Vehicle for several hours before his calls were finally heard and he was rescued.

That was according to a release sent by the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, which reported that Hinrichs was involved in an accident at 6:10 a.m. on Saturday. The report said Hinrichs was driving north on Isom Road in the town of Hale before missing a slight curve in the road and going off the road, down a steep ditch and rolling over.

Hinrichs was trapped under the UTV for several hours before neighbors heard him yelling for help. The UTV was removed by the Hale and Osseo fire departments and Hinrichs was air-lifted to a local hospital.

The extent of the injuries Hinrichs sustained were not known as of press time.
