Daniel “Danny” T. Fox

Daniel Thomas Fox passed away peacefully March 2, 2020, in the arms of his wife in Gilbert, AZ.

Danny was born on his parent’s farm in Osseo, August 21, 1939, to Keith C. Fox and Ruth (Haugen) Fox.

He attended elementary school in Osseo and graduated from Osseo High. Danny and his brothers farmed and milked cows throughout their childhood.

In 1964, he and his wife, Virginia Gorkowski, and children, moved to southern California and immediately went to work with Interstate Brands Corp. He was employed there for 23 years as a bread route driver and supervisor. Also, Danny and his older brother, Duke, had a used car dealership at the time and were always busy buying and wholesaling all type of vehicles.

Danny semi-retired from Interstate Brands in 1987, and went to work for Riverside Chevrolet, then with Gunderson Chevrolet, as their used car managers.

In 2000, he moved to Columbus, Wis. He and his partners bought the Ford dealership in Columbus and changed the name to Countryside Ford. Five years later, they purchased a Chevrolet dealership in Beaver Dam. A new dealership was built in Beaver Dam which is now called Countryside GM Auto Group. Danny retired from the dealership at 76 years old.

Danny’s love of cars and the gift of gab played such an integral part of his life. He formed life-long friendships and such meaningful relationships because of his love for making a deal. In Danny’s own words, “This is a true story.”

Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Michel Fox; children: Scott Fox, Brenda Stewart, Jennifer Fox; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Private burial will be held at cemetery in Osseo.
