Darlene M. Meier

Darlene M. Meier, 75, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 9, 2020, after a two-year battle with pancreatic and liver cancer.

Darlene was born to Janice and Clarence Reedy, August 26, 1944, in Arcadia. She later met Everett (Butch) Meier in Saint Paul, MN., and they were united in marriage, August 22, 1964. They moved back to Arcadia where Darlene spent a majority of her life doing in-home daycare. Many children in the city of Arcadia were part of her extended family.

Darlene is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Aimee) Meier of Onalaska; and son, Anthony Meier of Stanley; two grandchildren: Shauna (Sean) Clarke and Austin Meier, both of Onalaska; three brothers: Wayne (Shirley) Scow, Raymond (Bud) Scow, both of Arcadia, and James Reedy of Milwaukee. Darlene loved all her many nieces and nephews, but was especially close to her niece, Christy Bisek. Darlene is also survived by her best friends and neighbors, Joyce Jereczek and Kay Haines.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Everett (Butch); son, Bradley; grandson, Cody; and her parents, Clarence & Janice; and sister and brother-in-law, Ardys & Alden Boberg.

Darlene was best known for her sarcastic humor, sassy attitude and big heart. Her house was immaculate at all times…even if she wasn’t feeling well. Life had thrown many curves at Darlene, but she took everything in stride and kept moving forward, even when finding out about her pancreatic cancer. She will be missed by everyone.
