Doris A. Misch
Doris Ann Misch, 85, of Arcadia, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.
Doris was born in La Crosse, January 30, 1935, to Florian and Mary (Hansen) Haines. After graduating from Arcadia High School, she was united in marriage to Donald Skroch at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Arcadia, April 10, 1955. To this union, the couple were blessed with four children. Donald preceded Doris in death in 1966. On June 21, 1972, Doris married Clarence Misch at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence. Clarence preceded her in death in 2011.
Doris’ love for flowers and floral design sprouted her life passion of being the owner of Designs Unlimited Flower Shop, downtown Arcadia. She loved creating beautiful bouquets and arrangements for her friends and neighbors who came into her shop. She was a past member of the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce, FTD®, Telaflora® and the American Floral Service. Doris also volunteered with the American Legion Auxiliary and served with the PCCW at Holy Family Catholic Church. Her creativity and spunk will be truly missed by her family.
Doris is survived by her children: Daniel (Debi) Skroch of Pine Creek, David (Lori) Skroch of Whitehall, Douglas Skroch of Craig, CO., and Debra (Paul) Koch of Arcadia; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Haines, of Centerville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery with Father Kyle Laylan officiating.
