Douglas Lee Bailey, 62, of Whitehall, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Doug was born February 19, 1958, in Richland Center to Gordon and Myrna (Potts) Bailey. He married Lois E. Green, September 27, 1980, in Richland Center.

He graduated from Richland Center High School in 1976, and attended Western Wisconsin Technical College.

Doug was employed with Ashley Furniture as an Engineer for 33 years. He enjoyed the many people he worked with throughout the years and always had plenty of stories to tell about his career.

Doug raced snowmobiles and played softball in his younger days and also spent many years on bowling and pool leagues. He loved camping with family, taking regular weekend trips during the summer throughout Wisconsin. Doug was an avid sports fan, especially of the Packers, Badgers and Brewers, and could be found watching all the games from his recliner.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Gordon; a brother, Don; his grandparents, Lloyd and Lula Potts and Carroll and Huldah Bailey; his in-laws, Leland Green, Dortha and Carroll Loofboro; and his beloved black lab, Lexi.

A public celebration of Doug’s life will be held at a later date.
