Floyd “Bud” J. Lowener

 Floyd “Bud” John Lowener, 92, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Marinuka Manor, Galesville.

 Floyd was born December 19, 1927, in the Town of Gale, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, to William and Katherine (DeYoung) Lowener. In 1957, he married Lillian Hovre, who preceded him in death in 1962.

 Bud lived and worked with his parents on the family farm. In 1973, he took over ownership of the farm. Floyd continued to farm until a massive stroke made it too difficult to care for the land he so loved. He spent his senior years at Marinuka Manor, where he was able to connect with many of his friends and talk about the days of farming and years past. Bud was also an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved talking about his dream trip to Alaska.

 Floyd is survived by his nephews, Gary Lowener of Galesville and William (Pamela) Bendel of Holmen; niece, Kathleen (David) Lesky of La Crosse; four great nieces and nephews; and five great-great nieces and nephews.

 In addition to his wife, Lillian, he was preceded in death by his parents, William and Katherine (DeYoung) Lowener; two brothers: Marvin and Harold; and a sister, Wilma (née Lowener) Bendel.

 Private graveside services will be at Pine Cliff Cemetery in Galesville with Pastor Don Iliff officiating.

 Zwickey Funeral Homes, Galesville Chapel, assisted the family.
