James “Jim” R. Schultz

James Roger Schultz, 84, of Arcadia, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 28, 2020, at the Boland/Schultz family cabin in Trempealeau. Jim was doing what he enjoyed — spending time with family and looking out over the Mississippi River, watching the barges go by.

Jim was born in La Crosse, August 11, 1935, to the late Art and Lydia (Schorbahn) Schultz. After graduating from high school, Jim married Jean Jensen, September 13, 1955, in Arcadia. Together, the couple farmed side-by-side in Glencoe, raising crops and their son, Timothy. Jim loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his son, Tim (Connie) Schultz of Inver Grove Heights, MN.; grandchildren: Mikayla and Evan Schultz; sister, Sharon Schultz of Arcadia; sisters-in-law: Doris Camastral of Eau Claire and Pina Jensen of Virginia; brothers-in-law: Dennis (Donna) Jensen and Neal Jensen, both of Arcadia; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; sister, Betty Boland; brothers: Darell Schultz and Gordon Schultz; brother-in-law: Morris “Butch” Jensen; and niece, Debbie Boland.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Jim’s life, Sunday, August 9, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., at Pietrek County Park, N31500 State Rd. 93, Arcadia. Interment will be at Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery in Glencoe Township. Evergreen Funeral Home and Crematory in Eau Claire is serving the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial are requested to be given in memory of Jim to either the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org/) or the American Parkinson Disease Association (www.apdaparkinson.org/).
