Phyllis (Rebhahn) Passow

 

Phyllis (Rebhahn) Passow, 87, of Fountain City, and formerly Arcadia, died Saturday, April 18, at St. Michael’s Assisted Living in Fountain City.

Phyllis was born April 15, 1933, in La Crosse, to Louis and Theresa (Eckel) Servais. She married Lawrence “Bud” Rebhahn, June 23, 1953, at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Arcadia. Bud died November 15, 1980. She married Myron Passow, September 17, 1982, at Pine Creek Catholic Church. Myron died March 29, 2019.

Phyllis was a homemaker and farmed with both of her husbands and son, Mike. She worked for many years as a nursing assistant at the Arcadia Hospital Nursing Home and later at a nursing home in Houston, MN.

Phyllis loved the country western music written and played by her son, Mike “Bud Willow” and his Hillbilly Fever band. She also enjoyed shopping trips and celebrating birthdays with her sisters.

Phyllis went on horse camping trips with her husband, Myron, and his family, to Oklahoma, Montana and North & South Dakota. She was an excellent cook and helped prepare many meals for the Brush Poppin’ Trail Ride in Peterson, MN.

Phyllis enjoyed crafting. She crocheted and knitted many beautiful items as gifts to family and friends and made ornaments for her themed Christmas trees. Her doilies, afghans, and quilts are displayed in many homes.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Mike (Sandy) Rebhahn; six stepchildren: Linda (David) Fetting, Lonnie Passow, Jody Passow, Jeff (Sylvia) Passow, Robin (Tim) Hoesley and Tom Passow; a brother, Kenneth (Carolyn) Servais; five sisters: Lorraine (LaVern) Sobotta, Shirley Suchla, Virginia Smieja, Marion (Jerome) Schank and Sharon Secoy; sister-in-law, Jackie Servais; two grandchildren: Cede (fiancé, Keith Knutson) Briggs and David (Stacey) Rebhahn; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both husbands; parents; brother, Gary Servais; two step-grandsons: Matt Severinski and Logan Passow.

Memorial services and burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Pine Creek at later date.
