Randy J. Sonsalla

 Randy James Sonsalla, 68, of Arcadia, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Gundersen-Lutheran Health System in La Crosse.

 Randy was born in Arcadia, to Apolinary and Irene (Thomas) Sonsalla, and lived most of his life in the Arcadia area. Recently he moved to Trempealeau with his fiancé, Tammy. Randy was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Pine Creek and had a deep faith in God.

 Randy was married to Judy Sonsalla and they later divorced. Out of this union, the proudest accomplishment of his life was born, his daughter, Catherine Rae. It filled his heart with joy to see the life she created with Chad, whom he thought the world of. The lights of his life were his grand-daughters: Finley Rae and Parker Jude.

 When Randy married Judy, he became immersed in the lives of her children and lovingly accepted them as part of his own family. Dennis, Donnie, David and DeAnne have an everlasting bond with Randy that will never be broken.

 Randy found love when he met his fiancé, Tammy. They built a beautiful life together and deeply enjoyed each other’s company. Randy embraced Tammy’s family and formed a treasured relationship with Crystal, Jeffery, Dakodah & Loghan. Their time together was always cherished.

 Randy enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a good, kind man who had the ability to accept everyone he met without judgment. Randy had a deep love and respect for the outdoors which was made evident by his passion for farming, fishing, hunting and gardening. He also found enjoyment in a good card game, conversations with family & friends, and the Brewers and Packers.

 Randy is survived by his fiancé, Tammy Groven; daughter, Catie (Chad) Kotlarz; and granddaughters: Finley and Parker. He is also survived by his siblings: David (Jeanette), Darrell (Karen), Gary, Marlene Sosalla and Cheryl (Dave) Kamla; step-children and families: Crystal (Jeffery) Potter, Dakodah & Loghan Kolve; Dennis, Linda, Brandi (Alec Dohm), Trace and Trev Bjorge; Donnie, Diane, Sara, Jacob and Matthew Bjorge; David, Kelly, Kendra and Courtney Bjorge; DeAnne, Sidney, Marielle and Amaya Nicholas (who had a special place in Papa Randy’s heart); and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
