Indee girls split with Hornets, Beavers

After struggling offensively in one game, the Independence girls basketball team rebounded with a road win last week.

Alma Center Lincoln took control late in the first half of the game last week Tuesday as the Indees had a difficult time getting any shots to fall, losing 51-30. On Friday, however, they hit the road and took control of their game against Augusta early in the second half of a 59-46 win. The even week kept Independence's weekend near equal as they entered this week at 8-9 with a 4-6 mark in Dairyland Conference play. Independence was scheduled to head to Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran on Monday of this week before heading to Gilmanton on Thursday. They return home on Saturday for a game against Whitehall. This coming Tuesday the Indees will play at Blair-Taylor.

The Indees stayed with the Hornets in the second half, but their offense still wasn't able to get back on track completely as AC Lincoln went on to win by 21.
