‘Howl-O-Ween Spooktacular’ to raise money for local dog rescue

Tails of Hope is inviting people throughout the region to its Howl-O-Ween Spooktacular on Saturday at the Alma Rod and Gun Club. The event is a family-friendly day filled with Halloween-themed activities for everyone, including furry friends.

The highlight of the day will be the Trick-or-Treat Walk. Participants will have the chance to stop at trick-or-treat stations set up by local businesses and collect candy. Families are encouraged to come in costume, and there will be costume contests for both humans and dogs, with trophies for the winners.

The event features a variety of other activities including live music, a chicken-q, carnival-style games for kids and adults alike, a goat petting zoo, pumpkin crafting stations, a puppy kissing booth, raffles — both a 50/50 and dinner baskets and the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs looking for their forever homes.

All proceeds from the event will go directly toward helping the dogs at Tails of Hope, a nonprofit rescue. Whether it’s participating in the walk, enjoying the activities, or simply coming out to meet our dogs, everyone’s attendance makes a difference.

There are still opportunities for local businesses to sponsor trick-or-treat tables.
