18-year-old Osseo woman dies in crash

An 18-year-old Osseo woman died last week Tuesday after crashing her vehicle on County Highway B in the town of Sumner.
Jadyne Kaufman was found deceased on the scene after being ejected from her vehicle. A release issued by the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department said it had received a crash alert from a cellular phone. The alert was tracked to County Highway B near Myhre Road.
The release said Kaufman, the lone occupant, was not wearing a seatbelt and that speed was a factor in the crash. The incident is no longer under investigation.
Assisting on the scene were the Osseo Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Osseo Fire Department, Osseo First Responders and Mayo Ambulance.
