Arcadia boys third, girls fourth at Gallop

Jose Monroy topped the field as the Arcadia boys cross country team took third in the Wabasha-Kellog Gallop last week Monday. 

The race was limited to two miles to help athletes be conditioned for the heat as Monroy topped the field by 16 seconds. Cole Lockington was second on the team and 12th overall while Nestler Radillo finished 16th, Andy Monroy was 22nd and Peyton Nelson was 31st to round out the top five runners. Drew Teske was the sixth runner, taking 34th and Gery Lopez finished 47th.

The Raiders’ 78 points were behind Pine Island and ahead of Kingsland. Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson won the meet with 38.

Tegan Michalak took fourth for the Arcadia girls team while Cassidi Pehler was seventh. Jacy Boberg finished 24th, Josee Pehler was 26th, Olivia Kujak took 30th and Maggie Kujak was 36th.

The Raider girls scored 88 points, 21 more than Mondovi and one fewer than L-A/R-P
