Arcadia establishments listed for possible COVID-19 exposures

One bar and one restaurant in the Arcadia area were listed as having potential high risk for exposures recently.

The Trempealeau County Health Department listed Up-Chuck’s bar in Arcadia as having at least three individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 visit while they were contagious between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on July 11. The Buffalo County Health Department listed Larry’s Lookout as also having at least three people who tested positive for COVID-19 as having visited on July 11 between 8 and 8:30 p.m. The health department releases said that anybody who visited the establishments during those times should be considered medium exposure and should quarantine for 14 days through the exposure date.

Other establishments listed by the Buffalo County Health Department include Waumandee House in Waumandee, July 11, 9 to 10 p.m.; and White Pig in Mondovi, July 11 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. The Trempealeau County Health Department also listed Flyin’ Ryan’s in Eleva, July 11, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Both health departments included in their releases a paragraph stating: “Please note that an establishment appearing on this list does not mean they did something wrong, nor does appearing on this list mean that the establishment should be closed. Public health has contacted establishments and guidance was provided about cleaning and practices to reduce future risk to staff and customers.”

The Waumandee House published a social media post saying: “We will continue to stay closed on Mondays and Tuesdays to do deep cleaning and sanitizing, as well as everyday cleaning. We will also continue with precautions of our staff to ensure yours and their safety. None of our staff has tested positive because of these precautions.  We provide Hand Sanitizer near each entrance and and use disinfecting products to stay clean.”

Larry’s Lookout also advised they are working with the health department. While Up-Chuck’s has not yet posted publicly, the bar did cancel it’s annual golf outing in June as a precaution.
