Blair man faces seventh DUI

A man was charged with his seventh driving under the influence after he drove his car into a ditch in Blair.

Following the incident May 5 at about 4:30 p.m., Joseph Johnson, 59, of Blair, reportedly told officers he failed to make a turn into Kwik Trip and instead crashed his car in a ditch along Fourth Street.

The officer responding to the crash allegedly found signs Johnson was intoxicated and charged with man, according to court records.

The criminal complaint against Johnson says he has convictions for driving under the influence in 1994, two in 1996, 1997, 2000 and 2001.

He is charged with felony operating under the influence seventh, eighth and ninth, and operating with a revoked license. He remained in Trempealeau County jail Monday in lieu of $1,500 cash bond.
