County COVID case rate holds steady

There were a couple more COVID-19 cases reported in Trempealeau County last week than the previous week, but the total number is still among the lowest since last fall.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 81 new COVID-19 cases in Trempealeau County last week. That’s a slight increase from the 79 reported two weeks ago, but still the second-lowest total reported in 2022.

Of the new cases, the DHS reported 28 were residents of the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District, 18 live in the Whitehall district, 13 in Eleva-Strum; 10 in Arcadia, eight in Osseo-Fairchild, seven in Independence and four in Blair-Taylor.
