County fair to return in 2021

After missing out on milkshakes and cheese curds last year, the Trempealeau County Fair is scheduled to return this summer.

The fair was among many summer events cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. While the fair’s fry shack made its way through the county at various stops throughout the summer, the rest of the event was put aside.

After a meeting early last week, however, the Trempealeau County Fair Board decided to return in 2021, scheduled for July 15-18. Whether it will be the full fair that county residents have grown used to or a condensed version has yet to be decided, but a press release issued late last week said the board is determined to have a junior exhibitor fair, at minimum.

The board will release more information in the coming weeks.
