Galesville council considers new home for city hall
The Galesville city council is discussing a possible relocation of city hall.
The council met in closed session at its meeting last Thursday to discuss the idea, but no action was taken when they returned to open session.
The city is considering “moving city hall to another building,” Mayor Tom Thatcher told the Times, but no further details could be shared as of last week.
The ongoing age of the current city hall building at 16773 S. Main St. and the possible development of the current location are reasons the city is considering a move, Thatcher said.
“If we moved it, that (current city hall location) would be prime development,” he said.
There is no set timeline for when the discussion will be in front of city officials next.
