Galesville reopens High Cliff Park trail

The Galesville city council also reopened the trail in High Cliff Park after a closure of multiple years due to deteriorating conditions. 

Les and Mark Manske of Stoddard excavating business Les Manske & Sons, Inc. did the work to fix up the trail.

“This is rural America at its best right here,” Les Manske said of the city fixing up its community. “You should be proud of what you’re doing.”

Mark Manske said they “rebuilt” the trail after it had deteriorated to the point of being impassable. They fixed it up and widened it, working for the better part of summer and fall. 

“It turned out absolutely fantastic,” Manske said. “All in all, it’s probably at the best state it’s ever been in.”
