Handicap signs to move to back of Galesville restaurant

The two handicapped parking spaces in front of the Garden of Eatin’ restaurant in Galesville will move to the back of the building.

There is a handicap ramp behind the building, and the owners requested city council permission to move the spaces there for easier access, Mayor Vince Howe told the council last week.

“The ones out front aren’t very good because it’s on a slant,” councilor Linda Skwierawski said. “We have used it with a ramp out of a van, and it did not work at all. It’s a good idea that they’re moved.”

The relocation was approved unanimously.
