Man arrested in for meth in Galesville

Shane Lancour

A 34-year-old La Crosse man was arrested in Galesville on Sept. 23 after investigators from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department discovered more than 100 grams of methamphetamine.

Shane Lancour was being investigated before an arrest was made shortly after 11 p.m. He was taken to Trempealeau County jail and booked for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Lancour’s initial appearance in Trempealeau County Circuit Court was scheduled for Oct. 5. A $10,000 cash bond was set last week Tuesday.

The charge against the La Crosse man carries a repeater modifier as he was convicted of manufacturing/delivering methamphetamine as party to a crime in 2015. He served two years in state prison for that charge and was under extended supervision for three years.

He was charged with possession of narcotic drugs in 2019, but that charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. He pleaded guilty to a charge of fleeing an officer and served 10 months in the La Crosse County jail.
