Man arrested for OWI after crash

A man was taken into custody for suspicion of operating while intoxicated after a crash in the town of Dodge Sunday evening, according to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department.

A release issued by the department stated Richard Klink Jr., 41, was arrested after his Chevrolet Cavalier was operating in the wrong lane of traffic causing a head-on crash with Morgahn Mulholland, 21.

The report said Mulholland took a left turn from Glodowski Road onto Leo Kulas Road where her Nissan Sentra was struck head-on by Klink’s vehicle at roughly 7:15 p.m. The investigation determined Klink’s vehicle was operating left of the centerline.

Mulholland reported minor injuries and was not transported by EMS, according to the report. Klink had no injuries and was arrested on the scene.  The report stated this was the third time Klink has been arrested for an OWI, online records show his last arrest was in 2016 when he pled guilty to the charge.

The report said the crash is no longer under investigation. Assisting at the scene were the Arcadia Ambulance Service and Dodge First Responders.
