Man dies in Blair logging accident

A Taylor man died last week Tuesday as the result of a logging accident in Blair, according to a press release sent by the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department. 

Cory Berg, 58, was deceased when deputies arrived on scene at N30588 Quarne Road around noon last Tuesday. It was determined that a tree had fallen on Berg, causing fatal injuries.

Assisting on the scene were the Blair Police Department, Blair-Preston Fire Department, Tri-County Ambulance and Trempealeau County Coroner’s office. 

The incident is no longer under investigation.
