Man faces felony hit, run charges
An Ettrick man has been charged with a hit and run accident that caused an injury after his vehicle allegedly sideswiped a truck near the intersection of Joe Coulee Road and Lee Lane.
Twenty-nine-year-old Victor Tehuitle Panzo of N25277 U.S. Highway 53 was charged with felony hit and run following the Aug. 21 accident, according to court records.
Officer were called to the scene when the driver of a Silverado truck reported his vehicle was sideswiped by an Avalanche truck that swerved into his lane when the two vehicles rounded a curve, according to the criminal complaint. The Silverado was disabled by the accident.
Officers tracked the Avalanche to a farm where two individuals said they were passengers in the vehicle driven by Panzo.
Following the accident, a passenger in the Silverado sought medical care for injuries.
Officers found Panzo at his home Aug. 23 where he allegedly said the Silverado hit his vehicle and that he left the scene of the accident because he didn’t have a license, according to court documents.
