One dies in Lincoln crash

The driver in a one-vehicle crash was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital on Friday evening.
According to a press release issued by the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle struck a power pole on Schansberg Road near Qually Lane in the town of Lincoln at about 6:15 p.m. last Friday. Responders located a vehicle off the roadway with a lone occupant.
The driver was not responsive and did not have a pulse. He was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. As of Monday, the name of the victim had not been released.
Assisting on the scene were the Whitehall Fire Department and Gundersen Tri-County Ambulance.
