Trempealeau officer ticketed after crash
A village of Trempealeau police officer received a citation after his squad car was involved in a crash on Oct. 18.
Christopher Carley, 50, of Onalaska received a $175.30 ticket for failing to yield the right of way from a stop sign after a crash at approximately 5:42 p.m. A release sent by the Trempealeau Police Department said one person involved in the crash was transported by ambulance and treated for minor injuries. The release did not say who that person was.
The release said the officer was on duty in a marked police vehicle when his squad collided with another vehicle at the intersection of 3rd and Fremont streets in the village limits.
The investigation was handled by the county sheriff’s department. Also assisting were the Trempealeau Fire Department and first responders, Tri-State Ambulance and Galesville Police Department.
