Wreaths Across America

Mike Rhude of Tickfer-Erickson American Legion Post 17 set a wreath along Soldier’s Walk in Memorial Park as part of the annual Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday. With other area businesses joining Ashley Furniture Industries to help sponsor the program this year, wreaths were placed at each memorial along Soldier’s Walk in Arcadia to honor the sacrifices made by veterans. A separate ceremony was held at Ss. Peter and Paul cemetery in Independence, where wreaths were placed at the gravesites of veterans.
