Arcadia school board to have open seat in coming months

The Arcadia school board will have a new member, as current board member Rob Hurlburt announced at last Monday’s meeting that he will be moving outside the district in the coming months.

Hurlburt plans to continue serving on the board for a few more months and has no set timeline on his move or resignation from the board, he told the Times on Wednesday.

The school board will appoint someone to fill Hurlburt’s seat when Hurlburt leaves.

The board had three seats up for election earlier this month, which were filled by incumbents Paul Servais, Diana Tempski and Rodney Walters.

Residents Tracy Todd and Tonya Rebhahn were also on the April ballot. It was not immediately known if either of the challengers would still have interest in an open seat on the board.
