Hanson picked for Ettrick Lion of the Year
Josh Hanson will be honored as the Ettrick Lions Club’s Lion of the Year at the annual awards night to kick off Fun Days on Thursday.
Originally from Blair, Hanson has lived in Ettrick for 15 years. He decided to get involved in the Lions Club because he saw how much it helped area residents.
“I thought it was a great group of people who did a lot for the community,” Hanson said. “We give to numerous community and school organizations.”
In the winter time, the group meets at Hog Daddy’s Bar and Grill, which Hanson owns.
Hanson said he is proud to be involved with planning Ettrick Days and the annual tractor pull — the club’s largest fundraisers.
“This past year, we had our best pull yet,” Hanson said.
Hanson will be honored along with the Ettrick Citizen of the Year, the mini king and queen and Miss Ettrick at the Ettrick Community Center Thursday evening.
