Judy L. Morgan

Judy Lee Morgan of rural Fountain City, passed away December 3, 2023. She was born in Milwaukee, July 20, 1944, to Ralph and Regina Landowski.

Judy was a retired educator who taught for 30 years, most of those in the Green Bay public schools working with at-risk students. With a Master’s degree in Administration, Judy was the recipient of several awards, including 1996 Educator of the Year, Brown County Conservation Alliance. Being a lover of the outdoors, Judy also taught hunter safety courses for 10 years.

Judy was a strong, independent woman who loved her animals and the outdoors. She had a horse, Indy, that she doted on, as well as a couple of dogs, and even after they were gone, she resorted to spoiling the horses, dogs and cats of her friends. From her back porch, she could watch the migrating birds above the marsh, and always loved looking for the swans and Sandhill cranes, as well as other wildlife that passed through.

Another activity of Judy’s was frequenting her favorite local restaurants, often enough that she got to know the owners and several wait staff on a personal basis. From Alma to Galesville and Trempealeau, she knew what the daily specials were, and had her favorite meals at each one.

Judy is survived by several cousins, including: Jill Milner of Lind, WA, Julie White of Seattle, WA, Don Fritsch of Spencer, WI, and Ray Fritsch of Galesville, WI. She also leaves behind dear friends: Ramesh Misra of Nashville, TN (formerly from Winona, MN), and Laura and Scott Windmiller of Dodge, WI.

Judy’s wishes were to have her cremated remains scattered in the woods, so that she could rest where she felt most at home.
