Arlene C. Dahl

Arlene Cecilia Dahl, 100, of Blair, died Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Arlene was born September 6, 1923, in Blair, to Omer E. and Paula I. (Gunderson) Dahl. She graduated from Blair High School in 1940.

Arlene was employed as an accountant with AMPI in Blair for 40 years prior to her retirement in 1986. She was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church in Blair where she taught Sunday school, was a member of the Patience Circle, its altar guild and the quilters group.

Arlene was the treasurer and membership chairman of the American Legion Auxiliary for 35 years and a faithful blood donor for the American Red Cross for 60 years. She volunteered for many years for the Blair Cheese Festival and received the Blair Civic Award in 2005.

Arlene is survived by a bonus daughter, Julie Thompson of Eau Claire.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Jerome Strande; and Julie’s husband, Mitch Thompson. 

Memorial services were held Friday, December 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Blair Lutheran Church West with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, both in Blair. Mr. Scott Brown officiated.

Friends could call one hour prior to the service.
