Arcadia rec center on March agenda

Arcadia’s city-owned recreation center on Main Street will be discussed at the city council’s March 6 meeting.

The building was the subject of a public hearing in February of 2023 during which numerous residents asked the city to keep the building open.

Many Arcadia recreational activities are now housed by the new Wanek Center. Several programs do, however, still use the facility. The city estimates the cost of keeping the center open at about $12,000.
