Norse baseball team drops two of three
The Whitehall baseball team split a pair of close games before losing to one of the top teams in the area last week.
The Norse were on the losing side of a pitcher’s duel despite getting seven shutout innings from Brayden Lisowski in a 4-0 eight-inning loss to Blair-Taylor on Tuesday (see story elsewhere in Sports). The team rebounded to edge Cadott, 3-2, on Thursday, but lost to defending Dairyland Conference champion Eleva-Strum, 13-0, on Friday. No further information from the Cadott or E-S games was reported to the Times before press time.
Whitehall began this week with a 2-3 overall record before a home game against Augusta on Tuesday. They’re set to play at Independence/Gilmanton on Friday before heading to Carson Park to play Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran this coming Monday. They return home for a game against Osseo-Fairchild next Tuesday.
