Arcadia’s Jaszewski breaks 40 in first Coulee mini meet
Arcadia’s Landon Jaszewski made a splash as a freshman in 2025, earning first-team All-Coulee honors and making it to sectionals in his first season of high school golf. If his first conference mini meet was any indication, he’s got his eyes set on even more during his sophomore season.
Jaszewski was the only player to break 40 in the first Coulee mini meet of the spring last Monday, firing a 39 to place first overall in the individual standings at Coulee Golf Bowl in Onalaska.
Onalaska Luther sophomore Robert Bruns was a shot behind Jaszewski in second with a 40, followed by a three-way tie for third at 41 between Black River Falls junior Sam Aebly, Hillsboro/Royal junior Jett Bender and Hillsboro/Royall freshman Luke Holthe.
BRF narrowly beat out Hillsboro/Royall in the team standings 174 to 176, followed by Luther (180) in third, Arcadia (186) in fourth, West Salem (188) in fifth, Westby/Viroqua (192) in sixth and G-E-T (202) in seventh.
For the Raiders, in addition to Jaszewski, junior Brogan Solberg and sophomore Owen Anderson each carded a 48 and junior Tharren Schock shot a 51. G-E-T’s leading golfers on the afternoon were junior McGuire Slaby with a 46, senior Kylan Olson with a 49, freshman Isaac Woyczik with a 53 and senior Aiden Johnson with a 54.
W. Dells tournament
Red Hawk golfers took part in the second day of a two-day tournament held in the Wisconsin Dells area.
The Randolph/Cambria-Friesland Invitational took place last Monday and Tuesday, with round one at Wild Rock Golf Club and round two at Trappers Turn Golf Club. Coulee teams G-E-T, BRF, Hillsboro/Royall and Luther we unable to participate in Monday’s round due to their conference mini meet in Onalaska, but each still joined the action at Trappers Turn.
The Red Hawks put up a 388 as a team, fueled by junior Braydan Van Vreede with an 88, Johnson with a 90, Slaby with a 94 and freshman Thomas Hovell with a 106.
Madison West won the event with a two-day team total of 593, defeating second-place Waunakee by a single stroke. That finish was mirrored in the individual standings as well, where Madison West senior Frank Colbert posted a winning total of 135 just ahead of Waunakee senior Peyton Albers and his score of 136.
C-FC Invitational
Arcadia finished fourth out of the four teams participating in the Cochrane-Fountain City Invitational last Friday at The Grove Golf Course in Cochrane.
The host Pirates won with a score of 169, followed by Alma/Pepin with a 179, Eleva-Strum with a 185 and the Raiders with a 189. Alma/Pepin senior Trenton Krzoska posted a winning score of 38, his junior teammate Wil Jumbeck was second after firing a 39, Arcadia’s Jaszewski and C-FC junior Brayden Stiehl tied for third at 40 and the C-FC duo of senior Evan Leverance and junior Parker Kujak tied for fifth at 42.
Other Raider scores included Solberg with a 45, Anderson with a 50 and freshman Riley Cyert with a 54.
