Arcadia takes fifth at Trempealeau Mountain Invite

The Arcadia and Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau girls golf teams got their 2026 seasons underway with a tournament held in very familiar territory.

The Raiders placed fifth overall as a team at last Tuesday’s Trempealeau Mountain Invitational, held, as you might have guessed, at Trempealeau Mountain Golf Club.

Arcadia posted an overall score of 453, ahead of Adams-Friendship (463) in sixth and Black River Falls (496) in seventh. Tomah occupied the top two spots in the team standings, with their A team firing a 351 and their B team in second with a score of 375. Following the Timberwolves were Onalaska (414) in third and Osseo-Fairchild (444) in fourth.

Seniors Amaya Schlesser and Kalyce Sobotta each carded a 105 to lead the way for Arcadia, who also had seniors Riley Walters (118) and Chloe Schlosstein (125) competing at the tournament.

Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau junior Julia Baures shot a 119 to lead her team, followed by senior Madeline Ruud with a 126 and junior Eva Schubert with a 130. The Red Hawks did not have enough golfers at Trempealeau Mountain to qualify for a team score.

Tomah senior Camryn Eirschele fired the best score of the day with an 84, finishing one stroke ahead of Onalaska junior Finley Schams.

Arcadia and G-E-T both will be part of the first two Coulee Conference mini meets of the season in the week ahead. That starts with the first on Wednesday at Viroqua Hills Golf Course and the second next Monday at Ettrick Golf Course.
