Luvane J. Schoenberger

Luvane “Helge” Joan Schoenberger, 92, of Independence, died Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Trempealeau County Health Care Center.
Luvane was born August 12, 1934, in Whitehall, to Henry and Alvina (Johnson) Helgeson. Helge married her beloved husband, Daniel Schoenberger, July 5, 1958, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and together they created a loving home for over 50 years.

Her biggest joy came from her family, whom she loved and supported with her whole heart. Helge had a special ability to bring people together and her distinct laugh will be missed by all who knew her.
Luvane is survived by her children: Kim (Jeff) Bautch and Nancy Schoenberger; grandchildren: Jon (Val) Smieja, Katie (Chris) Odegaard, Courtney Schoenberger, Brett (Emily) Gamroth, Morgan (Jared Sendelbach) Thomas, Danielle Thomas, and Jenna (Sam Killian) Thomas; great-grandchildren: Conner, Aubrea, Addison, Kellan, Camden, and Kensey; sister-in-law, Susan Betthauser; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Danny; son, Willie; and brother, Virgil Helgeson.
Helge’s family would like to thank the staff at Trempealeau County Health Care Center for the love and care they provided to her.
