Anna M. Trim

Anna M. Trim, 84, of Galesville passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at her home. She was born in La Crosse, WI, January 18, 1939, to Leonard and Evelyn (Parks) Redsten.

Anna attended Gale-Ettrick High School where she was very social and enjoyed being a cheerleader. She met and married Wm. Earl Trim. Together, they welcomed four children. They later divorced.

Anna worked as a cook and waitress at Sullivan’s Supper Club, Trempealeau, and at Babson Brothers in Galesville. Her greatest work was being mother to her four children. She maintained an immaculate household — every day had its own chore. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her cookie jar was always full and if it started to get empty, one of her boys or the grandkids made sure to bring it to her attention. Every Christmas through last year, she showed her love to each of her children by making their favorite Christmas cookie.

In her younger years, she loved curling and golfing. Anna was proud of winning the High School Bonspiel with Perry and Cindy. She was an avid Packers, Badgers, Brewers and golf fan! She met David “Lefty” Wall through friends and together, they shared many years of happiness. They had a beautiful relationship and were so young at heart! They enjoyed many summers together at their cabin on Nelson Lake in Hayward. They loved fishing from their pontoon, coffee and ‘Happy Hour’ on the Radke deck, and exploring the trails on their side-by-side. She was affectionately known as the “Lake Detective”, keeping Arrowhead Association safe.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Charles) Gentry of Racine; three sons: Wm. Perry (Mary) Trim of Galesville, Tim (Kathy) Trim of Centerville, David ‘Wilber’ Trim of Galesville; 10 grandchildren: Tim (Erika) Konkel, Nicholas (Vanessa), Jordan ‘Juice’ (Kaitlyn Brattland) Trim, Chance (Jessica) Gentry, Kady (Jamison Kauss), Dylan (Ashley Miller), Megan (Paul Mortenson), Konerik, Hannah (Devon Buchholz), and Brendan ‘Bullcalf’ Trim; eight great-grandchildren: Mitchel and Jenna Konkel; Evan Koxlien; Hailey and Marshall Trim; Jace and Jordan Gentry; and baby Mortenson; her sister, Virginia “Ginny” Nelson, Racine; David’s sister, JoAnn (Jeff) Wall Henthorne; sisters-in-law: Eileen Trim, Mary McKeeth, and Darlene Redsten.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her lifetime companion, David “Lefty” Wall; brothers: Larry and Jerome Redsten; sister-in-law, Carol Redsten; grandson, Brandon Trim.

She will be always remembered, loved, and missed by all!

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 12:15 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 20335 W. Gale Ave., Galesville. Pastor Joe Iverson will officiate and burial will be in Green Mound Cemetery, rural Holmen. A visitation will be held from 11:15 a.m. until time of service.
