Anne L. Hendrickson

Anne Louise Hendrickson, 67, of Holmen, died Saturday, January 10, 2026, in her home.
Anne was born in La Crosse, December 20, 1958, to Dean and Sharon (Wood) Helstad. She grew up on a farm outside of Ettrick where she was an active member of her church and 4-H club. She graduated from Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School in 1977. Anne married Kurt Hendrickson of Holmen and had a son, Keith, in 1985.
Anne worked a variety jobs in her lifetime. Upon graduating from high school, she was employed by Trane Company in La Crosse. She then worked at Gundersen Health System as an AODA assistant until she decided to go back to school to get a degree as an AODA counselor from Viterbo University. Her last employment was in the home health sector.
Anne enjoyed time with family whether traveling or just spending time on the home farm. She was a member of the Coulee Region Gospel Choir and delighted in performing for her community. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She found great joy in attending their music, dance and sports functions.
Anne is survived by her son, Keith (Morgan) Hendrickson of Holmen; her grandchildren: Lily and William Hendrckson; her mother, Sharon Helstad; her siblings: Paul (Connie) Helstad and Dawn Madonna; her nephews: Eric (Dana) Helstad and Nathan Helstad; and her niece, Lauren Helstad.
Anne was preceded in death by her father, Dean Helstad; a brother-in-law, John Madonna; and her ex-husband, Kurt Hendrickson.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at French Creek Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery, both in rural Ettrick. Pastor Chris Sesvold officiated.
