Anton J. “Tony” Blazek

Anton John Blazek the 5th, known to many as Tony, passed away peacefully in his sleep, October 27, 2023, at the age of 66.

Born on July 12, 1957, Tony’s journey was marked by a deep sense of service. After graduating from high school, he dedicated himself to serving his country and ventured to Korea as part of his military service. Upon his return, he pursued higher education and earned a degree in Electronics. His passion for learning was evident throughout his life.

He married, Debra J. Clark, September 22, 1975. Together, they welcomed their only child, a daughter ,Angela, into their lives. Angela married James Powell. He found immense joy and pride in the family he built. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, son in-law, and brothers… hunting, target practicing or working around the farm.

For over 35 years, Tony worked as an over-the-road semi-truck driver, a profession he embraced wholeheartedly. He was known for his commitment and dedication to his work, qualities that endeared him to colleagues and friends alike.

Tony had a zest for life and a range of interests. He enjoyed playing cards, particularly the game of 500, and enjoyed reloading, hunting, and fishing as his favorite pastimes. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his devotion to his family.

As the eldest of five siblings, Tony loved the holidays and gift giving, even playing Santa for his nieces and nephews. His compassionate nature extended beyond his immediate family. He had a heart for helping others, often helping those in need, and sharing the word of God with those he met.

Tony possessed a remarkable intellect, excelling in mathematics and displaying a talent for drawing. His laughter was infectious, and he had the ability to turn everyday moments into valuable life lessons, leaving those around him feeling enriched and special.

In Tony’s passing, we remember not only a loving son, brother, father, father-in-law and grandfather, but also a man of wisdom, kindness and laughter who left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Survived by his mother, LaVern (Rochester) Blazek and four siblings: Gerald (Patti), Susan (Frank Werlein), Randy (Vicki), and Rodney (Mary). Tony’s legacy continues through his three adored grandchildren: Trysten Powell, Austin Powell (wife, Alyssa Jean), and Alexandra Powell (fiancée, Jermey Campbell).
