Bonnie L. Haney

 

Bonnie L. Haney, 73, daughter of Walter F. James and Donna Ellison, and step-mother of Gwen James, passed away in her home, October 26, 2021, after a short courageous battle with cancer.

A mother and grandmother, Bonnie will be remembered as an independent, outgoing woman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, shooting pool and gardening. She will be remembered fondly by her family and many friends in the days to come.

Bonnie had many who referred to her as “Mom” as she always took in those that needed care and love. These extended friends and “extra family” were important to her and she treasured the time spent with them. See will forever be remembered and loved by all that knew her.

Grandma Bonnie had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved deeply: Steven Peeler, Mitchell Grieve, Rachel Grieve Soulisak, Alyssa Grieve, Hailey Grieve, Holly Grieve, Hayden Grieve, Cyle Grieve, Nichole Bryant, Patrick Bryant, Kendra Bryant, Vicente Castillo, Lu Castillo, Tanner Olson, Robert Apodaca Jr., Derek Apodaca, and Victoria Apodaca; as well as the great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: Robert & Jennifer Grieve of Hamilton, VA; Tyra Blank of Trempealeau; Lonnie & Victor Castillo of Carlsbad, NM; Jodi & Robert Apodaca of Deming, NM. She is also survived by her brother, Rick James and his wife, Linda; and her step-sisters: Alice Barnes, Debbie Webb, Vicki Solis, Ellen Tracy; and KB Bynon.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved late husband, Joe (Duece) Haney of Galesville. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Trudy McPeek and Lynette Walton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
