Bonnie L. Leque

Bonnie Lou Leque, 72, of rural Blair, was called home to the Lord, Thursday, July 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Bonnie was born September 11, 1952, in Whitehall, the daughter of Jennings and Grace Christenson. She was known for her ability to connect with others, her profound sense of humor, and for always making people laugh. Bonnie was who you ran to when you needed advice, a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand or a saving grace. Bonnie was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by unconditional love, compassion and an unshakable faith. We will forever miss her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and larger than life personality.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Tilman; daughter, Melissa (Wayne); granddaughters: Caresa (Michael) and Hailey; great-grandchildren: Cisco, Omar and Nayeli; brother, Ron Christenson; cherished loved ones: Joe and Missy; special friend and sister, Denise (Kermit); and numerous nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; sisters; and best friend, Nanci.

Bonnie was not one to want a funeral for her passing as she said they were too sad. She always reminded us that once her life ended, to continue living ours, bringing her with us in our hearts and remembering all of the good times. It’s through those who love her that she will continue to live on. A woman as amazing as her deserves to be celebrated.

That being said, we’d love to ensure our beloved is the life of the party one last time. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Riverside Memorial Park in Blair, in the shelter by the pool.

We’d like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Rita Tranberg Memorial for their contribution and kindness, Dave Olstad for building a ramp and making her home more accessible, Emplify Hospice for keeping her comfortable and providing such wonderful care and support during our time of need, and to all of her friends and loved ones who kept her in their prayers and sent her much needed pick me ups that filled her heart with so much love. You are all so greatly appreciated.
