Carol B. Ibinger

Carol Bernice Ibinger peacefully passed away April 19, 2026, surrounded by family. She was 93 years young!

Carol was born August 12, 1932, in Black River Falls to Enos and Luella (Scafe) Bowen. She was a proud 1950 graduate of BRF High School. Carol was a loyal “ Taylor & Jones “ employee and completed her two year rural school teaching degree in the 1950s. In 1973, she earned her Bachelor’s degree, despite a daily commute to La Crosse and four kids who were less than helpful around the house!

On May 29, 1954, she married John Ibinger, with whom she once danced with at the BRF HS 1948 Snow Ball Dance. Little did she know he would become her future husband!

John and Carol lived in Wittenberg and Colby before moving to Blair in 1967 with their four children. They had many memorable life experiences, including a month-long pick-up truck road trip to Alaska in the summer of 1972. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, puzzles, spending time in her yard, but nothing more than the “whole family” time.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Ann (Roger) Leque of Woodville; daughter, Nancy (Mike) Stanek of Wonewoc; son, Paul (Toun) Ibinger of Hudson; and daughter, Elaine (Dan) Starck of Campbellsport. She is further survived by nine grandchildren: Matthew (Jasmine) Leque, Thomas (Kalen) Leque, Elizabeth (Charlie) Adams, Jacob (Jenifer) Stanek, Jonathan (Kelsey) Stanek, Eric (Rachel Richardson) Ibinger, Teresa (future husband,) Dashon Ostdahl) Ibinger, Lee (Adrianna) Starck; and Sara (Charlie) Raethke.

Carol especially enjoyed her 16 great-grandchildren: Brantley and Avery Leque, Bryce, Brooklyn and Grace Leque, Colin and Taylor Adams and Nicholas Booth, Dylan and Jayden Stanek, Bram, Beau and Briggs Stanek, Henry and Sawyer Starck and Nina Carol Raethke.

Carol has many special nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews; special friends, Barb, Thelma, Dohn, Theron and “Mouse” and her loyal feline companion, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; grandson, Benjamin Stanek; and all five of her siblings.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Jack Funeral Home in Blair. Chaplain Jacob Bilicke will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

A lunch and time of fellowship will follow at the Rise + Shine Café in Blair.

Memorials are preferred to the Blair Food Pantry or the Trempealeau County Humane Society.
