Clara Armbruster

Clara Armbruster, 97, died Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Homme Home in Wittenberg. She was born April 12, 1928, in Independence, a daughter of the late Frank and Veronica (Marsolek) Pietok.

Clara spent most of her life in Cudahy. In her early days, she loved playing pool, darts and cribbage. She enjoyed fishing and traveling.

Survivors include four children: Anna Austin of Nakoosa, Edward J. Sluga of Antigo, Peter (Linda) Sluga of Cudahy and Agnes Halama of Independence; four grandchildren: James (fiancé Nicole Vitale) Austin, Heather (Andrew) Augustyn of Antigo, Alan (Rose) Halama, and Sharon (Mike) Stefaniak; seven great-grandchildren: Matthew Halama, Weston Stefaniak, Avia, Elliot, Joanna, and Elias Augustyn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Armbuster; and a son, Joe Sluga.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Homestead Church, 710 Center Street, Antigo, WI. Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
