Constance “Connie” M. (Ristow) Clark

 

Constance May (Ristow) Clark passed away peacefully, July 20, 2024. She was born July 30, 1930, in North Bend, to the late James and Regina (Moen) Ristow.

Connie attended school at Galesville High School and graduated in 1946. She married Spencer (Spinny) Wayne Clark, September 18, 1948, after meeting officially at her sister’s wedding dance. Spinny preceded her in death, January 2, 1977.

Connie was employed by Prange’s (Younkers) in Wausau for many years prior to her retiring in 1996, then moved back to Galesville to be near her family.

Connie was beloved by her sons: Steven (Susan) and Thomas (Linda); grandchildren: John (Angie), James, Ryan, and Chelsea Clark. She was proud to have four great grandchildren: Caroline, Brady, Bryce, and Claire Clark. Connie was cherished by her nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her brother, James R. Ristow; sisters: Janet Hardie, Janis Brown; sister-in-law, Roseann; and brothers-in-law: Roger Hardie, Charlie Brown. She was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law on the Clark side of Clayton-Roseann Clark, Forrest-Helen Goodenough, Merlin Hanson-Gordon & Alice Bettis and Jerry-Inga Clark; nephew, Harley Goodenough; niece, Jan Sacia; and many of her dear childhood friends.

Her family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice and Caretta Memory Care for making her comfortable in her last days.

There will be a visitation Friday, July 26, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at North Bend Presbyterian Church. A church service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Burial, for those who wish to attend, will be at the Melrose Cemetery with a luncheon to follow back at the church in North Bend.

In lieu of flowers a donation is preferred to either St. Jude’s or a food pantry of your choice.
