Eldrid L. Kolve

Eldrid Lyle Kolve, 81, formerly of rural Blair, died Friday, December 9, 2022, at Bluffview Memory Care in Holmen.

Eldrid was born August 17, 1941, in Independence, to Lyle Myron and Selma Alice (Johnson) Kolve. He married Elvira June Neperud (Haugen), September 4, 1965, in Codington, SD. Elvira preceded Eldrid in death, April 2, 2019.

Eldrid served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963. He and Elvira enjoyed hunting and fishing together and loved camping up at Camp Holiday in Boulder Junction.

Eldrid was employed with Johnson Control for many years as a union Steamfitter. He also drove bus for Thompson Bus Service in Whitehall. Eldrid enjoyed working in the shop on the farm and doing projects there.

Eldrid is survived by four children: Diane (Craig) Richason of La Crosse, Pete (Michaeline) Kolve of Stoddard, Pam (Rich) Haller of Coon Valley and Al (Brenda) Kolve of Cable; six grandchildren: Amy Kolve, Brandon Kolve, Bethany Haller, Ben Haller, Shelby Hathaway and Shawna Hathaway; and five great-grandchildren: Cohen, Rase, Autumn, Chloe and Keelan.

Eldrid was preceded in death by his wife; and parents.

A Celebration of Life for Eldrid will be held at a later date.
