Faye Hoff

 

Faye Hoff, 87, passed away January 17, 2024, at the TCHCC Nursing home in Whitehall.

Faye was born September 6, 1936, in Spooner, to Geneva and Arthur Magnusson. She graduated from Shell Lake High School in 1954. Faye moved to Milwaukee to find work and is also where she met James Chatham. They were married for 17 years and had six children. Faye moved to Whitehall with the children, and there she met Fred Hoff. They were married for 16 years.

Faye went to school to become an LPN. She was a very giving person who truly loved being a nurse and caring for others. Faye worked at the Arcadia Hospital until she moved back to Spooner. She retired after several years of employment with the Spooner Nursing Home.

Faye enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, gardening and entertaining. She was always up to the challenge of a new game, or just sitting on the porch in the fresh air enjoying the peacefulness of the country.

Faye is survived by her six children: Chris (Mary) Chatham, Barb Chatham, Susan Mach, Kim Chatham, Marilyn (Joe) Brady, and April (Seymore) Anderson; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; brother, Lynn Magnusson; sister-in-law, Fern Magnusson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; two sisters; husband Fred; son-in-law; and granddaughter-in-law.

Services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Spooner Funeral Home on. Visitation is at 12:00 p.m. and the service at 1:00 p.m.
