Heidi L. (Hjerleid) Janzen

 

Heidi Lynette (Hjerleid) Janzen, 55, passed away suddenly, July 11, 2020.

Heidi was born January 18, 1965, to Harlan and Lynda (Tranberg) Hjerleid. She married Jimmy Hovre, June 15, 1985. He passed away October of 1990. She then married Scott Janzen, September 24, 1994. They later divorced.

Heidi graduated from Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School in 1983. She went on to pursue and receive her Associate of Science Degree in Executive Secretarial program from Winona State University. She later pursued and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Viterbo University. Heidi held various jobs over her career tenure, including Blair-Taylor School District, Gundersen Medical Foundation, UW – La Crosse and most recently, Winona County.

Heidi loved her family and friends dearly. Her grandsons were the light of her life. She enjoyed reading, flowers, shopping, writing down & sharing recipes and keeping up with her TV shows. Heidi was known for her selflessness and kind heart. She was the most compassionate and devoted mother, daughter and sister. Heidi will be missed immensely by everyone who knew and loved her.

Heidi is survived by her parents, Harlan and Lynda Hjerleid; daughters: Jessica (Mathew) Hesse and Breanna Janzen; grandsons: Hudson and Hayden Hesse; sisters: Melanie (Rick) Wolle and Pamela Suchla; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a grand-dog, Chloe, who was so special to her.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Hovre; brother-in-law, Brian Suchla; aunt, Julie Olson; and grandparents.

A private graveside burial will take place at Decorah Prairie Cemetery. Zwickey Funeral Homes and Pastor John Ashland are assisting the family with arrangements.
