Ilona “Lonnie” Peterson

Ilona “Lonnie” Peterson, 81, of Mound, MN, passed away January 20, 2024.

Lonnie was a talented musician and dancer, and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ken; daughters: Sue (Mark) Pfeffer and Jane (Russell) Gay; grandchildren: Anna (Sean) Hunter, Zach Kuhl, Ryan Gay, Kenzie Kuhl, Ella Gay; step-grandchildren: Kylie (Josh) Riley-Phillips, Katrina Pfeffer; and sister, Gloria (Merlin) Passow; many other relatives and friends.

Lonnie was preceded in death by parents, Ervin and Dora Scharlau.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Rd. 6, Plymouth, MN 55447. Visitation starts at 10:00 a.m., with a lunch reception following service. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
